Rails are the main components of railway tracks. Its function is to guide the wheels of the rolling stock to move forward, bear the huge pressure of the wheels, and transmit them to the sleepers. The rails must provide a continuous, smooth and least drag rolling surface for the wheels. In electrified railways or automatic blocking sections, the rails can also be used as track circuits
The trolley rail of the crane must be fixed on the travel beam, and the trolley rail must be fixed on the main beam. When the crane is running, the track cannot move horizontally and vertically, and the track should be easy to adjust.
The standard lengths of the rails are 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11, 11.5, 12, 12.5 m.
After the agreement between the supplier and the buyer and it is indicated in the contract, a certain proportion of indefinite length rails with a length of 4 m to 8.9 m can be supplied. However, when calculating the weight, it is upgraded by 100 mm.
The allowable deviation of rail length is +50 0 mm.
The lateral curvature of the rail shall not be greater than 1.5 mm per meter, and the total curvature shall not be greater than 8 mm.
The total curvature of the rails in the upper and lower directions shall not exceed 6 mm.
The end of the rail should not be bent more than 1 mm within 0.5 m.
The QU120 crane rail is limited by the capacity of the straightening equipment. The degree of curvature is negotiated by both supply and demand.
The torsion of the rail shall not be greater than 1/10 000 of the full length of the rail.
The asymmetry of the rail cross section and the vertical axis: the bottom of the rail should not be larger than 2 mm, and the head of the rail should not be larger than 0.6 mm.
The bottom of the rail should not be recessed. The center of the rail bottom should not protrude more than 0.5 mm from the two sides.
The rails are delivered according to the theoretical weight.
The rails are made of killed steel from open hearth smelting.
A production process that does not produce white spots in the rail should be used.
The tensile strength of the rail is not less than 90 kg/mm.
There shall be no cracks, folds, scars, bubbles and inclusions on the rail surface. Indentations, pits and scratches with a depth not greater than the allowable negative deviation value of the rail size and hairlines with a depth not greater than 1 mm are allowed.
There shall be no residual cracks, delaminations and shrinkage holes on the end face of the rail.
The end face of the rail shall be cut straight, and the skew of the end face shall not exceed 5 mm in any direction. Burrs with a length of not less than 4 mm should be removed.
The surface defects of the rail are allowed to be cleaned longitudinally with an air shovel, and the cleaning depth (calculated on one side) shall not be greater than the allowable negative deviation of the size.
Rail surface defects are not allowed to be repaired or filled by welding.
